Prepare for Take Off

Things are taking off- literally.

Yesterday Sea + Stone, LLC became official. I kicked off day one of Sea + Stone by perusing 47th street for supplies. Every time I step into the jewelry district, I feel like a kid in a candy store. It was extra thrilling this time since it was my first journey through my regular stores knowing that the supplies bought were for my own creations.

Today, day two, I spent the afternoon with another Tallahassee creative – Cameron Bertron. She did an incredible job shooting photos of my workstation and of me working. Stay tuned because you’ll be seeing her beautiful images here on my website shortly - just a teaser for now. I’m so grateful to find someone who could work around my tiny NYC setup (half living space/half working space) to really capture the essence of what I do and what inspires me. Check out her website:

Tomorrow things take off in a different sense- I’m leaving for Brasil! I’m so excited for what is hopefully the first of many trips to this beautiful country. Its hard to say what the most exciting part of the trip will be- the inspiring scenery, the World Cup, touring the iconic H. Stern headquarters, seeing gem mines, the beautiful stones I’ll bring home to use in my designs, or all the Pao de Queijo and other brasilian treats that I’ll be stuffing myself with!

I’ll keep you posted.

Until next time! Ate mais tarde!
